Review 2022 – IBUG-Festival in pictures
Dear visitors,
In 2022 the festival for urban art ibug – short for „Industriebrachenumgestaltung“ (industrial fallow transformation) – took place in the old coloured paper factory in Flöha with its 17th edition (So in 2023, we will finally be adults by law. Yay!). For the first time we stayed at a site for two festival seasons. Also, for the first time after the Coronavirus-pandemic, we were able to open our doors to the public without restrictions again.
We are particularly thrilled about the numerous expressions of support and kind comments from the visitors during the festival. We would also like to express our gratitude for the excellent collaboration with the city of Flöha once again. More than 10,000 curious guests and art lovers visited the ibug grounds over two weekends. During a separate school and education week, school classes from the region were able to discover the art for themselves and participate in workshops.
Thank you!
We would like to sincerely thank all the hardworking and tireless helpers who supported us again this year and gave everything. Without your support, an event like the ibug 2022 would not have been possible. Through you and the many visitors, it was shown that all the efforts and expenses are always worth it. Again, many, many thanks!

Factory Stories – Contemporary Witnesses Documentation
We are happy to announce that the ibug team is actively supported by filmmaker MARTIN LANGHOF since 2019. In addition to individual videos on the artists and their works Martin has also presented a special film this year. In a very sensitive time document he lets former employees talk. The film „Factory Stories“ shows them at their old workplaces. They lead us through the old factory from their very own perspective, tell us about their past and give us a unique insight into the everyday life of the VEB Buntpapierfabrik Flöha-Plaue.
On behalf of the entire ibug team, we would like to thank all of you who shared your experiences with us. Your stories have touched us all deeply.
